  • Get your 2014 Historic Garden Home Calendar, a great gift for family and friends. This third edition of vintage photos and memoirs is about key events that changed life in Garden Home, such as the school, the trains, the horses, the library and much more. You’ll learn something new and enjoy the stories. See the March calendar page about the school on this page. The calendars are available at the GH Library and at Lamb’s GH Thriftway for $12 each or 5 for $50.

  • Note the great photo of Don Sprague, BHS 1966, as Santa Claus. I thank him for the note about his story. Please do use the Comment space at the bottom of each page to add your memories or comments.
  • We’ve had recent permission to include the photo about the elephant that spent the night on SW 87th! See Anne Olson’s good Westgard, SW 87th story.
  • Stop by the History Board H at the GH Recreation Center to enjoy the interesting story of the Dr. Hetlesater and his family who lived on Mayo. Their girls were in the 1911 and 1912 school photos. They also gave the property to the community church people for their first church in 1918.
