The tour will take about one hour. Wear good walking shoes. You’ll hear stories about Margaret Scherner, one of the early Postmistresses. Also the Nichols who developed the first store in the early 1900s and the sad story of their only daughter who was thrown from a horse and died. The Denneys, the Fannos and the McKays were early settlers and all intermarried until it was said that the area was settled by one big family.
