This diagram is very helpful and answered some questions that I asked earlier. I am still confused a little. How long was section blue indicated as being built in 1955 under construction. Because I distinctly remember being in Mr. Morin’s 7th grade class the 1958/59 school year in the upstairs part of that section, but the downstairs rooms were unfinished at that time. I remember that year we had music in one of those unfinished rooms, and we had indoor recess in a couple of those rooms at that time because I remember a 4 square game lines was painted on the unfinished floor. I was in Mrs. Harrison’s 6th grade in the old original building in 57/58, and again in Mrs.. Anderberg’s 8th grade class in 59/60, I remember our 7th grade class was moved to the upper part of the unfinished building because of some repairs being made to the old building in 58/59. I do remember when the cafeteria was built because as soon as it opened, the 8th grade students were allowed to work there during the lunch periods to earn free lunches. Mostly we scraped left over food off the trays in prep for washing between groups of students going through the lunch line, and cleaning up garbage and washing tables between groups.

Thank you Donna, for your comments. We’ll ask Don Dunbar to review your questions. We may get more comments from other students. We get such nice comments about your dad’s (Otto Arndt’s) aerial photos! Elaine Shreve

I was in Donna’s grade and have the same memories of the unfinished section.
